The construction of Harvester Park Playground highlighted Phase 2 of the Harvester Park development for the Burr Ridge Park District. To complement existing ballfields and soccer fields, LandTech was asked to design a community play area that would be sensitive to all ages and abilities. Burr Ridge was especially sensitive to the quality of amenities expected by residents. there are large sand play areas, custom wood post and net climbers, a bridge crossing, cable ride, and play events for all age groups. LandTech was successful in helping the Park District receive a $ 200,000
grant towards the completion of this playground. The recently completed Phase 3 added
sand volleyball, 2 tennis courts, a concession stand, and a full basketball court to the park. |
